So, I was one of the lucky ones who could snag the GameCube controller adapter for the Wii U when Smash came out. Could someone walk me through using this on Dolphin if it's possible?

Sorry guys, ran into a problem with that guide. I'm at setup on the guide, but I don't see controller settings anywhere? Assuming it means the GCPad button, Under Device it says "DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse", not "Direct Connect" like the guide says to select. I also made sure under Configure -> Gamecube, Port 1 is at Standard Controller.

I've made sure to follow every step precisely. Any help?

The option is available in the latest development version of Dolphin, available from the Download link at the top of this page.

So it's not available in the Stable versions? Right now I have 4.0-5456 Windows x64, should I have the one at the very top of the Development Versions?

I went ahead and downloaded the latest version, the one at the very top of the download page in the Dev Version section, and it doesn't want to run.. and it doesn't even appear to be a program. Is it just something I put in one of the folders of the already downloaded stable program?

No, you need to unzip it to a new folder that is not the same folder where you have 4.0.2 installed

The option is not available in the stable versions.

From the Dolphin menu, select Options > Controller Settings.  In the window that appears, there is a section titled GameCube Adapter.  Inside the section, the first option either says "Adapter Not Detected" (at which point the GC Adapter should be plugged in), "Driver not loaded" (the zadig libusb driver has to be installed) or "Direct Connect" (the GC adapter is detected).

The GC controller does not need to be configured.  It is set up automatically, if "Standard Controller" has been selected in the dropdown.  The game can be started if the "Direct Connect" option appears and is enabled.

What do you mean by this? Could someone explain it in baby steps? I'm kind of an idiot in this area.
