will there be a huge difference if i use a core i5 computer with 2.9ghz speed to run dolphin and if i use a core i7 2.9ghz computer to run dolphin?(both with 2 cores)

(assume that all the other settings except the processors are the same, eg- same GPU, HD etc)

im planing to buy a DELL XPS laptop and trying to figure out which one i can buy in order to play wii games (with near perfect FPS) on my laptop.

Thanks in advance

Dolphin :
i7 Dual Core 620m (2.67-3.33ghz) > i5 480m (2.67-2.93ghz)
i7 Quad Core 740m (1.73-2.93ghz) < i5 480m (i7 quad is hot ,turbo boost might not work if it was too hot)
-> when the clock speed goes back to default 1.73ghz randomly, dolphin will run very slow

so which one of the following is more suitable for dolphin?

Intel Core i5 2540M (2.6GHz/3MB cache) (turbo up to 3.3ghz)

Intel Core i7 2630QM (2GHz/6MB cache) (turbo up to 2.9ghz)

Thanks admin89 for answering all my questions. Cheers!

Nvidia GT 550M >> Ati 5730 > Nvidia Gt 540M >>Ati 5650

I can play Crysis 1,Starcraft 2 at high setting and Crysis 2 at medium setting with Nvidia Gt 540M . Proof
GT 550M is enough to run Crysis 2 at high setting
