Should I upgrade my motherboard then? (11-07-2014, 10:34 AM)DatKid20 Wrote: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/24VFHx Gee.. That's like a downgrade over my parts? 11-07-2014, 07:39 PM

i am actually saying the contrary you should be able to run wwe 13 full speed with the i7 3770 i did so with my i5 3570. If you want more speed (on dolphin) upgrade your motherboard and get the pentium, i didnt go for the pentium because it only has 2 cores. My i5 3570 would still be better in other multi-threaded applications than the pentium. With dolphin-master-4.0-3239-x64 i got full speed on wwe 13 using the i5 3570

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X @ 4.2 GHz | MSI GTX 1070TI 8GB | 32 GB DDR4 @ 3000 MHz | Windows 10 Pro x64 | Dolphin 5.0-10886

What are you talking about? The g3258 goes to 4.7 GHz on stock/cheap cooling.
I'd recommend either one these 2.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/h4nzkL http://pcpartpicker.com/p/smPfFT The i3 will give you hyperthreading and, since it's a haswell at 3.7GHz, should perform around 30-40% better in dolphin than your cpu. The G3258 is cheaper and can overclock pretty well, but without hyperthreading it won't probably perform as well in games that use more than 2 cores. edit - switched to a better motherboard |
