Putting the DSP on a separate core was only planned for the LLE plugin. Since it's so slow due to using low level emulation, it would of benefited from it's own dedicated core to draw processing power from. Since there is now working audio for Zelda/Mario games implemented into the HLE plugin it is now pointless, they even got audio working on the HLE plugin before the LLE plugin.

Since the HLE plugin is already quite fast, there isn't going to be any noticeable performance gain by placing it on a separate core, at most if you are lucky it might give a 1 - 2 FPS improvement.

Core 2 Duo 2.8 Ghz or Core 2 Quad 2.33 Ghz?

I know that the OS will have 2 additional cores to handle another activities but I don't know if that will be the behavior in the other hand the 2 cores has more clock speed but shares the cores to run additional activities.

I have 2GB of RAM and 1024 nvidia video card.

Should I increase my memory or that is fine?

Sorry for my english.

The core 2 duo will be much better, end of story, Tongue

Could someone else answer my question posted above please. THELUKESTIR I see you finish your participation, thanks.

Um, the core 2 duo will give you much better performance due to its higher clockspeed, the extra 2 cores on the quad are redundant and will not help with speed whatsoever, sorry for not going into detail before

@wguerram
Core 2 Quad is some kind of joke rather than real cpu, it's something like sticked together two Core 2 Duo for the price of 3. About RAM, I've ordered 8GB for my second config and got 8GB with Phenom II X4.

@THELUKESTIR
Because after few hours of posting in here in Delphino Plaza section and searching test in web left 2 most sensible options, both from AMD and both for AM3 socket.

Unless you are using the LLE plugin (which noooone here can use), you will probably get 1 or 2 fps more with the HLE plugin

EDIT: It was already answered, just read the whole thread.
