I am currently using my Logitech F310 controller to play games, but I'd also like to use my keyboard to save/load states. However, Dolphin 5.0 won't seem to detect my keyboard. I have my settings laid out like so:

My controller is working without issues, but the emulator won't seem to detect my keyboard. It works when I press Alt+Tab, though, just not the controllers and the F-buttons for the save states.

Am I missing something here? Thank you.

Why do you have a keyboard set under controllers? If you want to change hotkeys you can find them under options > hotkeys.

I assumed that in order to use hotkeys for controller and keyboard, I should place both Keyboard and Standard Controller under the Config > Controller. Now I finally understand how to make the keyboard work, which, according to what you've taught me, is through Options > Hotkeys.

The problem now is, I use my controller's L1 button to fast-forward the game (disable emulation speed limit). And by making my keyboard work (so I can press F1 to save state), my controller won't be able to use the hotkeys anymore.

So is there a way for me to both use my controller (for fast-forwarding) AND my keyboard (for saving states)? Thank you again.

Right-click on the key you want to configure, and select the device you want in the dropdown at the top. This works for configuring both hotkeys and controller buttons.

Got it. Working flawlessly. Didn't know you can right-click on these hotkeys.

Thank you so much for your help, ExtremeDude2 and JosJuice!
