Controller Trigger Issue

I purchased a Retrolink Gamecube USB Gamecube controller and the entire controller works without issues except for the triggers. I cant seem to get them to input the pressure sensitivity. I don't know if the controller is just junk or if im just not inputting them correctly into the GameCube controller config. What I am trying to achieve is to get the triggers to show the pressure input as I push the trigger down. I believe this is called the analog.

My current setup is that I setup R&L and R&L analog on the same 2 buttons. Then I have to adjust the threshold between 99-100 depending on the game I want to use. For instance in super mario sunshine I need a full press of L to do a ground pound but I need a half press of right to be able to run and spray. If I set it to 99 I can do a ground and pound if I set it to 100 then I can run and spray.

I have been trying to troubleshoot this for a week now. There seems to be no input for the "click" of each trigger. When I right click on the configuration it shows me 12 buttons that are supposedly inputted on this controller however I have tried each one and still have had no success. I have read on this forum that some people had success with holding down the button halfway then inputting just the "click" of the trigger and that seems to work. But it didn't work for me. I am wondering if this is just an issues with this controller or if im just not doing this correctly.

If anyone has any fixes or advice on this controller please post them.

I am having the same issue. I tried the MotionInJoy software the company recommended, but I still can't play correctly. Does this controller even have pressure sensors? A halfway-decent fix is to set the "Z" button as the stand still and spray and use the "R" trigger for the run and spray.

I am also having the same problem though with the same game. I have not tried adjusting the threshold too much. I did and didnt seem like I could get it to work so I stopped messing around with it. I am using a wired xbox 360 controller.

Yes but the problem here is that you guys are buying from mass-pumping china companies. The only thing that is important to them is $$$$$$$$$$$, more they push out more the make. If you did a bit of searching you will see this question gets asked on a weekly basis. Many options out there but dont buy from companies, look for projects. Raphnet makes them, I make them, and meany more. Follow my link or do some searching.

Mayflash is hit or miss, they do have drivers for xp and win7 I think that work.

Should I even try to get my current one to work? If my controller has pressure sensors and I know an X-Box 360 does (I have one also), how would I get either to work? (I.E. configure the trigger on an axis so the pressure sensor can do it's job).

No there is no fix for the Retrolink, they never completed their code.
