Hey guys, I have a really annoying problem. I just got to Dragon Roost Island in Legend of Zelda Wind Waker, and the boat gives me the wind waker conducting thing, but I can't play the song.

My controller is mapped correctly and responds correctly in the button mapper settings when I use what is mapped to the C-stick, but when its time for me to play the song, I can only move down and to the right. Pressing up or left won't do anything. This stinks because I can't move forward in the game until I fix this. But when I'm sailing right before the island, the C stick buttons work fine..anyone want to enlighten me? I would appreciate it a lot.

After messing with the controller map settings, i can make either left or right work (if i switch them), and down still works, but up doesn't work. What the hell!

Hello Dubfishin', I registered specifically to say that I am having the exact same problem as yourself. I'm not sure when this bug first popped up but I believe it is recent. I'm using 4.0-5801
I know I've experienced this exact same problem in a few games, but the only one I remember off of the top of my head as the most recent and that I can confirm is repeatable is:

Rampage: Total Destruction. (USA-NTSC)

I am using an emulated Wiimote+Nunchuck (I have real ones as well but have not tested)

Left and Up don't work on the nun-chuck during parts of the menu and in-game, but do work in general, are correctly mapped, and work in other games. This is of course using the default mapping. At the Main Menu I can scroll the four icons using the wiimote dpad freely left OR right. With the nunchuck it only works to the right. If I press button 2 and enter the sub-menu with volume sliders left WILL work on the nunchuck, but when the sub menu is closed, left will not work on the main menu again. If I bump into the bug in other games I'll add to this post.

This should be in the controller subforum. Try increasing your radius to 100.

The nun-chuck radius is set to 100 by default. When the problem occurs opening the controller panel shows that the radius is still set to 100, making changes like setting it to 99 then back to 100 have no effect.

The nun-chuck works for the majority of the game, it is only the main menu and some levels later that is stops accepting up and left input.

Hey guys, I figured it out. I increased the radius of my C-stick and it worked. Thanks for the help! I apologize for my thread not being in the correct forum.

Setting/increasing the deadzone a bit can help in those situations too.
