Hey gents,

this is my very 1st post here so 1st I would like to thank you guys for your amazing work and progress on Dolphin.
Even Im not have been active here, I' ve been following your work for a few years now.
So definitelly congrats, awesome job!

Now to my problem..

I have managed to run NHL 2k11 without much graphical problems, but the controls are kinda unstable.
D-pad is not fully working and as you can hopefully see in this short video, I cant move properly with cursor even using my LS (ps4 or 360 controller). Yeah, ideally for this function would be using dpad, but it is just not working.

That is really sad, cuz otherwise the game is very nice with your emulator, even after years.  Sad

Please, please, please help Smile

Thank you again.

Have you tried using the same controller in other things like emulators, modern day pc games (360 controller support)..

Does the same thing happen on your PS4 controller that it does on your xbox?

Edit: I did not properly understand your concern. I do not know much about emulating a wii remote via a standard controller. I usually use a gamecube controller and adapter, or a wiimote + nunchuck and sensor

Thanks for the response.

So you use gamecube controller and adapter for a wii games in Dolphin?

I tried ps4 and 360 controller, with the same results. Must be something in the code that cause the dpad not working, cuz as captured in the video, Dolphin is registering dpad, but it is just glitchy in the game.

Thanks.

So another day of testing and trying, but no success.

So is it just me or anybody else have this problem- dpad not working in game? I mean you can see visually it is registering the input (in Dolphins controller settings menu), but it just do nothing in game itself.

Even more weird, sometimes after few hours in game it starts working for a few minutes, without any obvious reason.

Is there something I could change/modify in game.ini?
Its such a shame Sad(

Thanks for any advice guys..

Thanks.

For wii games that don't support a gamecube controller I use a real wii mote. I wish i knew more about emulating a wii remote with an analog stick, but the one time i tried it, it didn't go well!

I'm sorry you can't play your preferred games.

My suggest to you is to down grade to a gamecube version of a hockey game. It's not as fun, but it's going to work like butter

Thanks for the response.

Yep, everything works fine in tab, even dpad is working there.
In game LS is working without problems you just cant move around the letter properly as seen in the video and dpad is not working at all.
Sorry for bad english and thanks for the help.
