I would do that LordDragonX, but every wiimote controller listing is grayed out except for the controller 1 one. What option needs to be changed in order for that to stop happening?

in terms of the sound, I've read in the official twilight princess forum listing that it still isn't working. I assumed it was up to date atm, and just wanted to play the game Smile I'll worry about sound after that.

kind of an odd new problem...while assigning the buttons as accurately as possible, when i press down the "B" button that has been assigned the game pauses. This means that at the beginning where it says to press A+B to start all it does is pause the game. Any idea what might be causing this? Smile

What kind of pause? The home menu? That one is by default set to H button, see if you accidentally set it to the same as your B button.
