Controller isn't recognized

Dolphin detects that my controller, a PS4 controller if you're wondering, is connected to my computer via USB but when I try to calibrate the sticks and set up the buttons, it doesn't detect that the sticks are moving or even the buttons when they are pushed. I've enabled background inputs but that also hasn't solved my issue.
