Controller config for Rodea?

I've been really wanting to try Rodea the Sky Soldier but I don't have a wiimote I can pair with the emulator. Is there a way to possibly configure an Xinput controller to play it?

This game is very heavy on pointer controls. If you're comfortable with it, I would recommend mouse+keyboard instead of a gamepad.
