Controller changes dont stick

every time i go to change my buttons for the gcn controller it refreshes itself after i click ok. when i try to save the profile it just erases the name and doesnt save it. im using usb xbox controller gamestop brand (gamepad for xbox 360 is what it says in the system). how can i fix this so i dont have to reset it each time i want to play a game. and this same controlelr has worked for project64 to.

It does save it, you just have to go to the drop down menu and pick it again, I find this annoying, but meh.

i tried that and it still doesn't work. after i switch it back the control scheme switches back to the default keyboard configuration.

Perhaps you've extracted dolphin to a directory which you don't have write access to.

you were right! thank you so much, i moved the folder to my documents instead of the program files directory. that worked perfectly
