Hi all,
This feels like it must be a common question, but I can't find anything on it through searching on Google:
I play Dolphin with a Gamecube controller via a Mayflash adapter, using the Wii U setting with Zadig. When I'm playing and the USB disconnects from the port -- even once it reconnects --, the controller will permanently stop working. I have to close my game and fully close and reopen Dolphin in order to get it to re-detect the controller. My USB port on my laptop is slightly faulty, so all it takes is the USB getting angled in a funny way for this to occur; thus, this is somewhat of a regular issue.
The thing is: This didn't always happen. While this was a problem way back when I first started using Dolphin in 2015, I eventually stopped encountering this problem sometime around 2020. It was only when I started playing games again this year that I started having the issue again. Moreover, this does not happen when I use the Slippi client, which I know is based on Dolphin, for Melee netplay.
For reference, I am running Windows 10 and Dolphin version 5.0-19870, although this has happened with all of the most recent Dolphin versions.
In short: Is there a way to have Dolphin re-recognize the Mayflash adapter once its been reconnected after a disconnection?
