I have created a kind of steam PC with my old laptop specs:
Intel 6440HQ, Nvidia GTX 965m
I realise this is no power house but it's surprisingly capable and should be more than enough to run Dolphin GameCube emulation. It runs Yuzu emulation really well.
I initially was setting this up from my main PC via remote desktop. I installed Dolphin and a few games and ran them to test. They ran surprisingly well and smooth over remote desktop with the odd frame drop as you would expect.
Then I tried to run the same games on the laptop directly but now I get constant stuttering in video and audio. Not intermittent but all the time. No settings were changed. If I remote desktop back in and run them again they are fine.
I was under the impression that remote desktop would only stream and the processing would be done on the laptop. Am I missing something here?
