Create support for a console's DVD drive as External DVD drive for real console game support. (Make a real console game playable through a DVD drive that will read the Disc and play like a real console.)

What about File>Boot from DVD drive? It should work as long as you have a supported drive.

I know how you feel, emulating from the original media just seems better than using backups.

Well, even if you get that to work, it'd be too slow with the current methods of reading wii discs.

I know, Nintendo has plenty of harsh tricks to stop emulation from the original media. The SA-1 chip hasn't been completely figured out yet, which is main flaw of the Retrode in terms of SNES games (excluding Super Game Boy, since there is a plugin for Game Boy games.)
