Connecting wiimotes causes Dolphin to crash

So I am using dolphin 5.0 and the first couple times i connected wiimotes it worked fine, but now when i try to connect them it either doesnt work no matter how many times i try or it just causes dolphin to crash and then i get a crash report which i have no idea what to do with. i have tried quitting dolphin a couple times.

How are you connecting the Wiimotes? Bluetooth or a DolphinBar?
