So, I have my wiimote, I have my Generic Bluetooth Radio, I go for add device, and it add just fine, but then it starts to install "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" and never ends up completing its installation and my wiimote ends disconnecting from the list of devices. I have tried so many times to get it to work, it got as far as registering as a game controller on the device list before disappearing again.
Help!

Do not connect the Wiimote through your operating system! All you have to do is open the Wiimote settings panel, and press refresh and 1-2 and on your Wii Remote at the same time. That's it. If you turn on continuous scanning, you can even fire up a game and just press 1+2 and connect right away!

Unless it's a -TR Wii Remote Plus, then things get complicated.

Still no results. It will still try to install the "device driver software", failing each time and not connecting.

Make sure you remove anything you set up in the operating system, it will prevent Dolphin from being able to connect with it.

Also, just to make sure, this is a first party genuine Nintendo Wii Remote right? And it is not a Wii Remote Plus?

Yeah, it's a genuine remote, no motion plus.

And by "remove anything I set up in the operating system", do you mean other bluetooth devices? The wiimote is the only bluetooth device connecting.
I still don't know why it wont work, when my brother used the wiimotes, they worked fined, so they should be able to work.

Anything wiimote related that you set up in the operating system or under bluetooth devices, remove it. With the MS bluetooth stack, that will only get in the way.

Remember to connect through Dolphin.
