Hello,

I've been looking on how to set up Wii motion controls using my DS4 on a Mac, but I haven't found anything. Does anyone know/have a program that can let me do this? I know that Windows has DS4windows; is there a Mac alternative?

I don't know anything about Mac's except 1 very important thing: You can boot into Windows or Linux using Bootcamp and get all the benefits of a "real" computer, including support for all kinds of hardware and software and MUCH MUCH better OpenGL and Vulkan support... I see no reason to buy a Mac except for the "status" it gives you as a fanboy, a computer illiterate and someone who throws money away for old hardware in a brand new 2017/2018 machine...

(not to start a flamewar and sorry @MayImilae and any MacDev out there Wink )

The fact that your post starts out "I don't know anything about Mac's" (there would be no apostrophe within "Macs," by the way) is amusing to say the least. You then move on to insult "cundi" - who was asking an innocent question about an application (Dolphin) that was designed to work with multiple platforms, including macOS, as well as a controller (Dual Shock 4) that is completely compatible with macOS.

Indicating that the Mac owner isn't using a "real" computer is ridiculous - I'm not going to explain to you what the basic definition of a computer is, but the modern desktop or laptop computer as we know them today would consist of a processing unit, perhaps a graphics processor, storage, memory, and various I/O peripheral(s).

He/she didn't ask you what your computer preference was, nor did he deserve for you to insinuate that he is possibly computer illiterate or financially incompetent.

Again, I reiterate that you started off your post saying "I don't know anything about Mac's". Lesson #1 - Dolphin and DS4s are entirely supported by Macs.

I have a Mac running Bootcamp with Windows 10 Pro. I also have an Intel NUC dual-booting Ubuntu and Windows 10 Pro.

You're one of few people that I have heard in the past 6-7 years who thinks that Macs give you any kind of "status." People stopped thinking about that a long time ago. Would Origin PCs, or perhaps Alienware not make people think "bling bling" just as much as a Mac? What kind of status is my $699 Mac mini, whether it's running macOS or Windows 10, gaining me while it sits on the desk in my office? None. It's a computer.

(And btw, OpenGL and Vulkan aren't the only rendering APIs out there. Perhaps you should educate yourself on Metal. It's proprietary, but it's also damn good - especially Metal 2.)

Bottom line - be nicer to people on forums - whether you meant to or not, you came off in a very bad way toward the person you were responding to. Who knows - maybe its a kid who didn't even buy his/her own computer! I hate when I see people being condescending in that way to others who simply asked a question. To me it's bullying.

Cundi, if you see this, I'm going to research your question myself - I'm also interested.

Hi everyone,
I'd need help too, I can't configure the Wiimote using the DS4 on an iMac.
I am trying searching on the internets but the only thing I can find are the screens of the mappings but they are often not complete or they're not working.
Thanks in advance to anyone that could help Smile
