Configuring Mouse as Pointer/Shooter in On-Rails Shooters

Ok, so I'm having some difficulty getting the mouse to function as a pointer for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. Using Emulated Wiimote, I am able to configure IR for the mouse in all 4 directions, but when I actually start the game, where it asks to make the save data, the mouse response is SUPER jittery.

It's highly erratic and the pointer icon keeps shifting to the center of the screen within a split second. i-e I'm not able to use it at all in it's current state.

Can someone please share a working control scheme for Umbrella Chronicles (using mouse + keyboard controls specifically)

Can you post a screenshot of your config? It seems that you have configured the IR incorrectly (mixing up Axis and Cursor)

Why is IR set to axis? I should have been set to cursor by default.

Axis is used when you want the cursor to go back to the center when you stop moving in a direction. This is useful for Nunchunks and sticks in general.

In your case, you probably want cursor instead, as said by ExtremeDude2.

Man I feel like embarrassed, it took me quite a while to find Cursor lol, didn't realize you can right click and manually set the response.
