Configuring gamecube controller

So I have a gamecube controller adapter, which works fine on gamecube games. However, I couldn't find a way to configure the controller to work as a wiimote, so that I can use it on Wii games. Is there a way to do this?

Is this the wii u adapter or a different one?

I have this wii u adapter, but the setup for the gamecube drivers was the same as the official one if that makes a difference.

Well I guess if it works the same as the wii u adapter, there is no way to use it windows afaik, but you can on linux.
