The wiimote is not a gamepad. xD
Well... it kinda is, but not your traditional gamepad. You don't select Wiimote from the gamepad listbox. You have to check "Use Real Wiimote", "Connect Real Wiimote", and Nunchuck Connected (provided you have your nunchuck connected).
