Do I need a wiimote etc?

How do I use my keyboard or configure it? I got as far as downloading dolphin emu and I was able to load a Wii iso successfully... and it was running... But I tried pressing some keys and nothing...

In the main dolphin window in the upper right side you will see some buttons. One of them is gcpag another is wiimote. Those are input plugins, you have to configure those.
