Yes the fan runs and it's pretty loud. Anyway the tech support guy unfortunately didn't actually comment on the computer, he just said send a reclamation report, since my guarantee lasts 5 years. So the result will probably me sending the PC to them and they decide if it will get fixed etc. Now if say, if I were to get my money back or they replaced falthy components for free, that's pretty great... but since I was planning to buy a new PC in the next year, there's no point if they gave me a completely new one.
EDIT: I took this diagnostic chart, http://www.fonerbooks.com/power.htm
now since the power went on the 3rd/4th time, on those cases I made it to the motherboard diagnostic, and the fan on the heatsink question. (Assuming RAM and CPU in not seated incorrectly as there were no hardware modifications). So while the back fan in running hard, I noticed actually the top fan isn't running, not sure if this is the so-called heat sink. And I looked at the CPU (transparent PC case), and it seems to maybe have a fan inside, that isn't running.
Anyway, the PC miraculously resumed Windows on the 5th boot, now it's time to grab whatever I can to my HDD and GTFO...
