Computer died; building a machine to run my Wii games at max—can I reuse any parts?

The main things going on in the monitor market are free sync and g-sync right now and they are just finally starting to roll out in greater numbers, but as for panels in general the past year has seen them getting vastly cheaper, so maybe not black friday, but it may be a safe bet to say we are in a transition period where we are slowly moving away from the old 1080p standard as new monitors become cheaper and cheaper.
