Completely new to Dolphin, controller not working

Before  I start, I just want to say that I'm new to this software, and have never used it before.

Recently, I wanted to play Wind Waker, but I don't have a gamecube, so I downloaded this. The controller that I'm trying to use is a PDP Nintendo Switch wired usb Fight Pad Pro. I've followed a few tutorials and got Dolphin-Ishiiruka build 777 and got the game running. My main problem is that the inputs simply don't go through, and I've tried several of the options. I don't have an adapter.

Hello there! It seems to me that you are using an incompatible adapter. Usually Nintendo Switch adapters don't work on computer, I recommend getting a mayflower adapter, since those work on pc

The PDP Fight Pad Pro does not have "native" Windows drivers, so you'll need a program to help translate. I think the programs BetterJoy and x360ce, or using Steam's Controller interface
