Why does it seem I am the only one who has compiling issues whenever something in Dolphin changes, is it something in my Visual Studio install or associated libraries and include files?

I always was unable to compile music mod in the past, while everyone else was able to compile it fine. For the most part the normal builds of Dolphin compile fine, except once in a while an obscure error that no one else gets likes to rear it's ugly face..

Errors on Revision 3645/3646:

Code:
Error    1    error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _Video_OnThreadAccessEFB    videocommon.lib

Error    2    fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals    d:\My Documents\Emulator SVN\Dolphin\Binary\Win32\Plugins\Plugin_VideoDX9.dll    1

Also I can't build Dolphin the normal way, some projects don't build if I just click the green arrow to compile, thus are skipped.

In order to compile Dolphin, I have to either click Build ---> Build Solution, or right click Solution 'Dolphin' (30 Projects) in the left hand pane, then click build.

Why am I not able to simply compile by clicking the green arrow, why do I get these errors at random no one else seems to get?

I got this error too, but I compiled a previous revision just fine so I'm sure it has nothing to do with your setup and the error will probably go away in a later release. Does your build run at all? Because mine seems to work fine despite the error.

Upon looking into it more, it just appears to be an issue with compiling the DirectX video plugin. It likely has to do with the changes in plugin specifications with the recent implementation of read from EFB.

Everything else compiled except for the DirectX video plugin, so it's likely everything will run fine.. Smile

Devs can't help but break builds sometimes.

And use Rebuild Solution instead of the green button.
