Compatibility page sorting

More sorting options would be a big improvement to the compatibility page. Instead of having to click through all the letters, it'd be incredibly useful to be able to list all the 'perfectly' emulated games on one page, for example. Also being able to view just GameCube games, just WiiWare games, etc., or any combination thereof.

And unrelated, but having the US flag represent English on the language menu is somewhere between absurd and downright embarrassing.

Yeah, that page isn't optimal. A better option is the wiki (from which the compatibility page is based on). For example, all games with a 5 star rating can be found here -> https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Category:5_stars_%28Rating%29 Obviously it's less visual (no banners, just text) but it's easier to navigate (200 items at a time). You can use that in the interim until a better solution comes along on the main site.

For sorting between WiiWare, GC, or Wii, the wiki is similarly helpful. For example, take a look at the GC page -> https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Nintendo_GameCube and the table allows you to sort games based on compatibility.

Given that the USA hosts the majority of all native English speakers (globally), I don't see a problem with it, personally. I've seen other sites use the Canadian or UK flag to represent the English language option, both of which I found inoffensive and innocuous. You're free to use an image blocker of some sort or find someway (like the FF plugin My Image Here) to replace it with your flag of choice.

I think the issue the OP is complaining about is that the language is English, not USAn, so it should match that. It's kind of like saying that because Samsung make a lot of Android phones, we should use the Samsung logo whenever we need a logo to cover Android phones, even though there's already a perfectly good Android logo. It's quite a common sentiment in the UK.

OP is pedantic and I'm glad to contribute to annoying him by showing a US flag.

Yeah, I noticed the category pages on the wiki after posting, and it's definitely better than nothing but there's no easy way to view all five-star GameCube games, or all four- and five-star Wii and WiiWare games, or whatever else one might desire.

As for the other issue, the only time I've seen the Canadian flag used to represent English is on Bioware's site, which I took to be humourous. My viewpoint is basicaly what AnyOldName3 said. Also if you want to go off populations, then the flag for the Spanish language option should inarguably be Mexico's!

Edit: I am indeed pedantic, I won't deny that.

For the flags thing: Arbitrary decisions are arbitrary.

No one said the flags were chosen by population though, just that it isn't strange to look at why USA's flag is there in light of the fact that the USA has such a notable share of native English speakers, percentage-wise. The same may not be applicable to Mexico because its share of the global native Spanish speaking population is not as significant as the USA's share of global native English speakers (~25% vs greater than 50% respectively). I see other factors deciding which flag gets adopted to represent Spanish, usually geopolitical, depending on the site you visit. But in short, it's these kind of massive figures the USA has that reinforce an association, not an uncommon one either. Plenty of video games themselves use the USA flag to represent English (yes, even ones sold in the EU). Really though, it's just whatever anyone feels like putting; there is no "right" or "wrong" country, as long as the average reader will know which language to associate which flag with (e.g. putting Kenya's flag for the German language is decidedly unhelpful).
