Sigh, this information really needs to be available locally on the official dolphin-emu.com site and forums, which are located here.

Didn't we used to have one of those list, iirc it got outdated pretty quick.

The developers need to keep an official list up to date, with the official v2.0 release this shouldn't continue to be neglected.

I used to read&contrib. to that official list, but nobody wanted to update it anymore so it sort of died.

That's not what I'm referring to..

There needs to be an official compatibility list, updated only by the developers for official builds, just like with Pcsx2 and other emulation projects. Anything else would be unofficial, possibly inaccurate and should be taken with a grain of salt considering results can vary between the several members testing games depending on configurations. The developers have more authority and knowledge to contribute to compatibility lists, there's a reason Pcsx2 and other projects employ or employed trusted beta testers for their projects.

No they don't. Not enough developers with enough free time to pull that off. A wiki is literally the only way to keep a list about something large in scale and constantly changing up to date since it gives everyone the power to add/change/debate/etc. It may not always be 100% accurate but that's the price you have to pay for staying up to date. Personally I think if they just copied the data from the dolphin wiki over to the official site that would be fine, but that's just my opinion on the matter, I know your probably not going to agree with it.

I'm not sure if you have realized, but other projects manage just fine with keeping official compatibility lists up to date and have managed since the beginning of emulation. This is best left to the developers and and anyone that contributes to the project to handle, not the members. Since I became interested in emulation in 2004 - 2005, official compatibility lists were always maintained by project owners, developers, and official beta testers.

That said, I don't have any problem with mamario maintaining a compatibility list. I do have a problem with the lack of such information being available here, where it should be contributed instead of redirecting everyone to another website.

I should further clarify that I don't mean to offend mamario or anyone here, and I don't have any problems with mamario maintaining a wiki, compatibility list, website and forum. I would also like to see this information available here instead of always redirecting everyone to another website which shouldn't be needed.

Sorry for derailing this thread..
