Does the PAL60 option not run it at 60FPS?

The PAL version of Mario Party 8 doesn't work at 60Hz (and neither progressive scan). Mario Party 9 does, for example.

Confirmed. And I remember reviews of that time mentioning it.

And since its a Wii game, doesn't it have a native 16:9 option?

Not all wii games support 16:9.

Mario Party 8 dropped back to 4:3 when actually "partying", for whatever reason.

Probably because they just needed a Mario Party for Wii launch and just ported one of the GCN Mario Partys .. Also the game is very poorly designed because they didn't have much time for development .. There are many left-overs such as the debug menu from Mario Party 4:

Since there are already 16:9 and 60Hz codes for previous Mario Party I guess it wouldn't be so hard to generate the codes but I don't know a bit about getting cheat codes unfortunately ..

there is a game.ini setting to make the game run in 4.3? (like when you set 4.3 on dolphin wii settings)

I want to play on 4.3 stretch. If I set 4.3 on wii dolphin settings and stretch window I get this effect and Works fine.

If I set 4.3 on game.ini and stretch Windows, I get 4.3 with black bars, not stretched.

And if I set aspect ratio to 3 (stretch), I get colored mp8 bars like if its runing at 16.9

So, there is no apparent way to replicate 4.3 wii dolphin setting through game.ini.

Unchecking panoramic mode also doesnt work.

May I know why?

Hi. Thanks for that.

Still there is a problem on dolphin, there is no way to achieve what you say in game.ini. Only changing wii ratio settings on dolphin settings works. But you will have all other games at 4.3.

Setting 4.3 through game.ini doesnt have the same effect. Dont know why this never been fixed.
