The only Zelda games I've played are Link's Awakening, Wind Waker, and just the beggining of theThe Legend of Zelda and Ocarina of Time. I just bought A Link to the Past and started playing it. Of all the Zelda's I've played, I feel this one is the most gripping. Is it the best? I want to play the best Zelda game, and I heard it was Ocarina of Time, but I tried the beggining and it was really boring to me, unlike a Link to the Past. Am I wrong? Is Ocarina of Time better? What about Majora's Mask? Minish Cap? Twilight Princess? Zelda II? Huh Tongue

Yeah I know, I'm just not gripped enough to continue the game Tongue. I'll probably play it after I beat A Link to the Past, however long that'll take. Big Grin

Most Zelda games have a slow beginning and imo it's one the beauties of the game, the steady build up and how the games gradually opens up for the player.

@noah: All Zelda games are interesting. Not necessarily excellent but interesting. Even older ones. Gotta try 'em all Big Grin

All Zelda games? Hmm... I suppose the three Philips i-CD titles are "interesting" in their own way (though for all the wrong reasons) Wink

Of course it didn't include CD-I pseudo-games. These games have never existed for me Tongue

You must admit though, they are amusing games, if only for their incredibly bad quality. I used to watch YouTube "poops" of the animated scenes. It was hilarious because someone actually thought some of the stuff they made was good (or at least good enough for production) Big Grin

"The best" is subjective. Everyone has a different opinion about which zelda game is "the best".

My opinion:
OoT>MM>OoS/OoA>lttp>fsa>mc>ww>tp

They're all worth playing in my opinion though.

Zelda games that I haven't played yet:
Link's awakening, zelda I, zelda II, phantom hourglass, spirit tracks, and four sword.

The NES and DS games are generally considered the worst. This of course only includes the zelda games that were developed by nintendo. I won't even comment on the awfulness that was the CDi zelda games.

I do plan to play link's awakening eventually. I also need to finish skyward sword before fully evaluating my opinion of it.
