I've looked through some past topics about this subject, but I haven't found any definitive answer. Could someone please explain to me, step-by-step, how to use a Wii Classic Controller with Dolphin? (I primarily want to use it with GC games, but also with Wii games where motion controls are unnecessary [such as TP], so instructions for both would be appreciated).
Win 10 / i5 4210H @ 2.9-3.5 GHz / GTX 965M / Dolphin 5.0-15

Well as far as using the classic controller for wii games, it should be as simple as going into the wiimote config and telling dolphin it's there. To use the classic controller on GC games, you'll want to configure glovepie with the wiimote contacted over bluetooth, along with the classis controller. once you have it connected, you just need to run a glovepie script that sets the classic controller up to work like a GC controller. I have a script I used to work with wind waker, and smash brothers melee, and for the short time I played it, the Gc version of twilight princess.

The last poster is completely wrong. You dont need a separate program, all you need is to select emulated wiimote. Then go to configure. Select sideways wiimote and set it up just like you setup the gamecube controller. I would set 2 as A, 1 as B, A as X, and B as Y. You dont need to worry about the tilt and the wiimote exclusive stuff. Leave that blank.

Just setup the dpad and if you have an xbox 360 controller setup(or any controller with an analog stick really) just set the direction on the dpad to correspond to the analog stick directions (MAKE SURE SIDEWAYS WIIMOTE IS CHECKED!!!!)

I feel really bad for the Original poster. I hope that my post brought some clarity to you. Ignore all posts telling you to use other third party software. This is all doable purely from dolphin.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you could use the Classic controller, contected to the wiimote, as input for Gamecube emulation through dolphin. Also, if he has the physical classic controller, why would he need to have it emulated? Also, emulating a wiimote wouldn't give you enough buttons to act as a gamecube controller, regardless.
OP did state primarily he wanted it to play GC games. Emulating a wiimote in dolphin won't do anything for controller setup for GC.

One and two, and plus and minus, can all be mapped so as to work as all the buttons on the gamecube controller

So it sounds like Dolphin would just read the input from the classic controller as it would the input from a keyboard. In this case, would it be possible to configure it for a Wiimote+Nunchuck setup as well, rather than just a sideways Wiimote?

It won't. The wiimote config will not make a diff for gamecube input. Telling you. If you want to use a physical classic controller as input for gamecube games, you'll need something to make your comp see the classic controller. Windows won't nativly see any wiimote with any extension, as something it can use. Wiimote will work with WII emulation, emulated will work for WII emulation. But not gamecube input.
