Cheat managing questions

I'm running 5.0 on Mac (El Capitan), and for whatever reason the cheat manager is giving me issues. Considering I'm new (to Dolphin as a whole), so far I've only tried this on Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness so I'm not sure if this is an issue with other games or not. When I go to enter Action Replay codes they simply won't save - as in, I'll enter in a code, click OK, and when I click again on "edit..." the code has been reformatted and by all purposes changed.

Have a code that goes from:

414A-YXH4-AKHWJ
9UKE-M6JQ-D5HWU
HCKD-PZ3E-8GUA3
FC77-4THM-5Z284

to:

7A47F10C 00000040
4247F338 047405F5
4247F338 0475E0FF

on its own. Obviously the reformatted code either won't work, or I'll get a thousand error messages on game startup that make me force quit Dolphin. Any clue as to why this would happen, or how to fix it?

And one more question: with Gecko Codes, some thing I'm really not familiar with, I imported all the codes Dolphin had for the game but I'm unable to change them (not sure if that's even a thing I should be able to do), and some of them crash the game when I activate them. No clue on this either D: any help is appreciated!

Action replay codes will always be converted. That will not stop them working, if a code doesn't work then it's either a faulty code or you have entered it wrong. As for gecko codes if you want to edit them in any way you will have to do it manually in the games config file.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up! I assumed CodeJunkies codes would work, but maybe not. I appreciate the help.

The codejunkies codes should all work as they are the official source for action replay.

What codes are you trying to use?

Figured it out - forgot to check which region the codes were for. I was using UK codes which don't work for the US game
