Did you take a look at this already? I think if you are going to add new fans that you add one blowing air out at the top rear and blowing air in from the side (over the CPU) with an Antec Big Boy. Just take a look at that link and weigh the pros and cons coupled with this new link I found. If for some reason you are getting cold feet, a new heat sink might end up a better way to go. Not as fun as modding but it will get the job done. 06-12-2009, 02:52 AM

I got a very bad feeling about this

Almost every not stock cooler will be better as long as its ASUS, Zalman, Spire, Corsair, Cooler Master or any other good made. Good cpu cooler may even make possible to overclock unit a lot. And 46x42x18cm means that U got standard ATX box, U can place there every fan made for socket lga775 and some made for other sockets (not only Intel). More useless fans U got, more power it needs and works louder, so too much funs may need change of psu also.(06-11-2009, 06:33 PM)Veeeight Wrote:forgot to say i also oiled it with special oil last week(06-11-2009, 03:06 PM)Daco Wrote: i still use stock socket lga775 fan ye. its a good one except for that damn fanCleaning is ain't enough, cpu coolers are really short living and micro-dust after few years of work is everywhere in it, there is no good way to clean it - specially from box(stock) coolers. guys, zalman is fail. http://alternate.be/html/product/details...ue#tecData that will net you even worse temps. I'd just reccomend a xigamatec s1283, or a True.

I'm trying to imagine this hmmm.... wonder. Also 50-65 degrees without huge overclocking is crazy and hard to imagine. I have never used any stock coolers in my pcs so I thought that 40 degrees is a border that should never be crossed by cpu. 06-12-2009, 10:59 AM
