I've been working on bug fixes, mostly in the user experience and UI, ready for the 5.0 release.

And I just discovered I've been kicked out of Dolphin, blocked from submitting pull requests or commenting on existing ones, and my pull requests have been closed without comment.

So if you're wondering why your Xbox controllers don't work, controls that are too long to fit their box don't show the full thing in the tooltip, your PAL games aren't labelled PAL, or your user settings are incorrectly overridden with 0 or false, it's because a few developers decided to go on a power trip and ban people.

Fortunately, my installer script changes were accepted before this so your user files won't be deleted and it will show how much disk space dolphin is using when you go to add or remove programs. And my debugger improvements and a fix to an error message were accepted ages ago.

But I guess I won't be fixing anything else in Dolphin any more.

For people that don't know Carl Kenner, he's the Glovepie author, known for gating download links of his project behind political arguments.

I didn't put any political opinions in your code repository. As I posted before you blocked me:

I'm not seeing any mention of the European Union, or even Europe, and certainly no EU flags. Just a lot of PAL and the PAL logo.

Or how about another site you might have heard of... apparently there's an emulator known as Dolphin which has a forum... searching the Dolphin forum for PAL returns 129 pages of results. Searching the Dolphin forum for Europe returns 22 pages of results. Searching for European Union returns 2 results (not pages)."

I think this has been said elsewhere - changing the flag to something else is perfectly reasonable for the right reasons. It's just the politically motivated nature of this that spun out of control. I'm sure many people's emotions are running high right now and perhaps it'd be best to cool down.

Overreacting to brexit is happening everywhere right now, it doesn't need to be happening in Dolphin of all things.

Oh, and on the topic of editing the icons in the gamelist... if anyone's interested I also changed the platform icons so that all the Virtual Console platforms have their own icons, separate from WiiWare wads. For example, there's an N64 icon, a SNES icon, etc. I haven't done a pull request for that yet though.

Currently my code for that might be a bit slow because I'm trying not to change the format of the game list cache, but if it's in the main branch I could do it more efficiently. So I might have to change it slightly.

And "Github hijacked! Developers banned!"? Really? There was no hijack – the people in control are the same as before – and "developers" sounds like it's several developers, not just one person who's made a few PRs.

The problem he's mentioning only applies to wireless Xbox controllers. The problem is not new.
