Cant play with 2 players at the same time

I hve two xbox360 controllers with one receiver, it works fine with any other game, dolphin detects it and it let me configure buttons and everything else, but when i launch a game, and try to play with two players only one works, i ve tried using 1 controller and the keyboard but it doesnt work either.

im using dolphin 4.0 and playing with gamecube mario kart can you tell me how to fix it?

Assuming you are referring to a game that uses the gamecube controller, did you remember to set the second controller slot to "standard controller" in Config > GameCube?

Also, 4.0 is old. 4.0.2 is a critical bugfix release for 4.0. Also, the latest development builds have lots of advantages over latest stable. Get both from the main site - https://dolphin-emu.org/download/
