cant move on twilight princess[wii]

well the game works fine on my laptop but I can't get link to move, I tried to configure the controls the first time but it does not work my computer is a:
Dell Inspiron 1545
processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
RAM: 4.00GB
64-bit
is it because I donthave a number pad

hehehe...i feel so dumb.....thats what i was doing wrong I was using the wii mote to move lol
