Check "battery power plan" : High Performance Check your CPU temp with "real temp" when running dolphin . If the thermal status was "log" , your laptop would be overheating Dolphin uses 2 cores , i7 720qm turbo to 2.4ghz on 2 cores : http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_i7/In...20QM).html ...which is not good enough for dolphin Try this http://www.dolphin-emu.org/performance.html Edit : Make sure dolphin used Ati graphic processor , not Intel @nero912 His Ati is good enough for 720p , AF 16x , Internal Res 2x, AA 2x Laptop: Mini PC :: 11-13-2011, 04:02 PM
Thx for the replies…. regarding temp and power plan everything is fine, temp is low and power plan is in high performance. I currently have tested Dolphin with a single game only, The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess for GC. Maybe I should try running another game? Or I shouldn't expect any better performance from my laptop? I have also tried updating Dolphin (the updates available at http://www.dolphin-emu.org/download.html) but it seems to further worsen the situation, after updating i was running fps even as low as 8 - 10. I uninstalled and installed back the 3.0 without further updates and got fps up to 30 at best, however as game progressed fps drop to 15. If there is anything within my means (my laptop not replacing it) that I could do to enhance performance, I'll really appreciate if any one lets me know. Again, thx for the replies and hopping to see your answers soon. Twilight Princess is a hard game to emulate, but you should still be getting much higher frames on even a laptop i7.. (my friends i7 740QM can run a shit ton of games at full speed) Also, try enabling DSP LLE on Thread, and uncheck Enable Audio Throttle. Small things but definitely help. 11-13-2011, 05:41 PM

Yes try other games you might get better results than with ZTP (GC games)
