cant get mario kart wii to create a save file

i have no trouble with any other game creating a save file for the first time, but for some reason mario kart just throws me the corrupt save file error and cant fix it, or if i delete that folder, it cant even make the save file for the 1st time.. it says it cant read or write to the save area..... any ideas?

use another save file from the internet. Dolphin can't save save files properly for mk wii. It can if you have the nand dump though.
