So technically I have two problems and I think they're both related to the title. The first is that if I go into the controller configure menu and try to configure my controller it doesn't seem to recognize that there is a controller connected but if I run a game the controller seems to work. Disabling the port 1 controller also disables the controller in game. Note that I have the Nintendo controller adapter. What I'd like to do is fiddle with the dead zone of my control sticks but those options don't do anything at the moment.

The other problem I have is that the c-stick on my controller seems to work selectively. It will work for a while and then it wont, and sometimes it just won't work at all.

Sorry if this is written elsewhere, I did try looking.
Thanks.

I've noticed the controller configuration can be a little finicky, but what I found out is if you go into the controllers section, standard controllers, configure, then select your device from the drop-down menu, then click refresh, you can then change the settings.

You can't fiddle with those settings if you're using a GameCube controller adapter for Wii U.

I dont suppose there is a third party program that I could use to simulate the same effect is there? Also does that mean my wonky c-stick detection is a different issue altogether?

Since today I also have the problem with the c-stick, but i dont know a solution yet...

I'm pretty sure you cant configure the controller in dolphin if you use nintendo's adapter, but theres no need to do it in the first place. It has native support and configures itself with the correct binds for the controller.
