Hi.. i just downloaded dolphin 2.0 x64 (to run under windows 7 64bit) and am trying to play an emulated version of twilight princess. The game loads up fine and everything but i cannot figure out how to get my keyboard to respond.

i assume the wiimote tab is where u set it up right? On the input source there it says Emulated Wiimote and i can change it to real wiimote or inactive. If i go to the Button Mapping area, i can see all these keys set up but in game they do not respond... the only thing that does respond in game is when i press alt or esc it pauses the game. Under gamepad it says <No Gamepad Detected>.. do i need to somehow change that to keyboard?

Ive read several strings but the directions people gave dont seem to match up to what im seeing in my program. thanks for any help

if you're changing that then don't Tongue, leave it at Emulated Smile and configure the buttons under button mapping :p

yeah... no, ive left it on initially (as it defaults to that). For whatever reason it will not respond to any button i push. I'm contemplating buying a gamepad, but i dont know if that will help... is there ANY reason my keyboard will simply not respond? I've checked that my directx is full updated to 11. The graphics and sound come through fine... its just the keyboard does not work. I've never had this problem in an emulator before... my zsnes and pj64 run perfectly

The program loads with the default keys set up in the button mapping but none of them respond... like i mentioned, the only keys that actually respond are alt or esc (which pause the game off and on). any ideas? frustrating..

my specs should be more than adequate : 3.0ghz i7, ati radeon msi 5600 series 1gb, 6gb ddr3... unless theres lack of support for a generic keyboard or something bizarre like that? which gamepad could i buy that would be certain to work? id still prefer to use keyboard, if possible heh
..
found out something else thats strange... if i go into wiimote and click on a button to change it (example: A is default Z) it says <Press Key> but then if i press any key, it will simply not change it. It gets stuck, goes [3], [2], [1] and then sometimes gets stuck back at [3], sometimes stuck at <Press Key>. If i then close the Button Mapping window and reopen it, the defaults return... but i cant change the listed buttons to anything.. whats going on? does it just not read my keyboard at all? i just cant fathom why...
