i have:
Windows 7 32bit
Latest Dolphin
Original non-Motion Plus Wii Controllers
Generic Bluetooth 2.0 w/ EDR USB Adapter

I can pair both my wii controllers with the pc, and use them in dolphin just fine. my problem is that i have to pair them up each time i start dolphin, and the computer has to install driver, etc. for each controller. this takes time. i have a 4 and 6 y/o, time is not something i have a lot of.

I tried running wiipair, but, there's really no instructions on what's supposed to happen. i've tried the GUI version, and it jumps to what looks like a test screen after i press ezpair. nothing happens here and the controllers are not paired. I tried the command line version. it finds it, but then it completes unsuccessfully because "the user has not been authorized".

What are my options to get the controllers to easily pair up or quickly connect (by pressing a button) on their own so my wife and kids can start up dolphin without me having to spend 5-10 minutes of tom foolery to get it going?

I got the toshiba stack from here http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download-toshiba and it worked on my cheap generic bluetooth adapter. It was a trial version and auto-connect didn't work for me but hopefully this will help you. I'm getting the same authentication error as you so if you figure this out then please let us all know. I'm thinking this is a problem with the bluetooth adapter and I'm close to just buying another one.

I plaid with all these threads. My solution for win7 was wiipair command line version. Once I did that my wii motes are locked down! Even a restart or removal of usb BT stick does not drop them.

About the toshiba stack, we have a thread somewhere where admin89 posted a link to a cracked version, which, although technically illegal in many territories, is not against this forum's rules.

Long shot here but could it be because of rights? Try running command prompt as admin.
