I'm having a difficult time forcing resolution for Bounty Hunter. It's an NTSC ROM. Other titles, such as Pikmin and Super Mario Sunshine, work perfectly fine. Alas, this title does not. Instead, and I can provide screenshots if absolutely necessary, it seems as though the basic resolution will be rendered and scaled. I've tried on D3D9/11, OpenGL, nothing seems to work. Fullscreen resolution is set to my display's native, 1920x1200, with both auto aspect and force 4:3. Internal resolution is...well, I've tried all of them, and on all backends, with no change. Am I just screwed, or is there possibly a setting I'm overlooking? technical info is as follows

OS: Windows 7 Premium x64
Dolphin: 2.0 x64 RELEASE, 3.5 x64 RELEASE, 3.5-367 x64
hardware:
Intel i7-320
2x GTX460 1GB
6GB DDR3

3.5-367 isn't the latest revision. Try the latest from this website: http://dolphin-emu.org/download/

Have you tried changing the IR while playing the game? It's possible that the IR is set to a fixed value via the .ini file (which overrides your default settings when you initially begin to play). Switching during gameplay, in turn, overrides any possible .ini setting for the IR. Though I don't know if that .ini parameter was around when Dolphin 2.0 came out.

It might also be that Real XFB is being forced in the .ini (this lowers everything down to native res no matter what), or that the game covers the screen with an EFB effect and you don't have Scaled EFB Copy checked.

For clarification, EFB = Embedded Frame Buffer (used for graphical effects in 99% of games) and XFB = External Frame Buffer (used for... I dunno, synchronization?).

Oh yeah, Real XFB will do that too. The wiki says this option should be off, so if it's on, someone messed up with the .inis Wink

@pauldacheez - neobrain explained what the XFB is and how it works to me in this post if you're interested.

I think I've read that post before – guess I forgot everything in it. :\

So the XFB is somewhat similar to the EFB, but it just does gamma correction and vertical/horizontal stretching before pushing the image to the screen?

Never knew you could switch from full to window and change the internal resolution, but that did it!
