Cannot connect Wiimote

Trying to connect my Wiimote to my Windows 10 PC and it will not connect, neither through windows Bluetooth connector, nor Dolphin's scanning. I am using an ASUS USB-BT400 Bluetooth dongle with the Toshiba bluetooth stack (though it didnt work with default windows anyway). Any help would be appreciated as i have tried the guides on the dolphin website, and tried posting to r/Dolphin-Emulator on reddit but they were of no help, and nothing seems to be working
