Hi Everybody!

I'm new here Smile

I have been enjoying several GameCube games on dolphin now and I realllly appreciate you guys, you rock!

But now I was in a nostalgic mood and wanted to play Pokemon Snap. Because it doesn't fully work on Project64 I tried playing it on Dolphin with my WAD file.
Which seems to work fine for now, I just did the first level, but I cannot seem to change my controller settings.

I use my XBOX 360 controller which gave no issues so far for the GameCube games.

At the start of this first level, it starts a little tutorial, where it asks me to 'Press Z'.
I have the Z button set to the Right Bumper (RG) button on my Xbox controller. However it does respond as if I'm pressing the Left Trigger... very strange, imo.

I set up my wii controller settings with the 'Classic' extension configuration as shown in the attatchment image. My CG controller settings are similar but I attached them too.

So for gamecube games, RB works fine as the Z button, but here no matter how I change the controller settings, LT stays the Z button instead of RB.
I tried setting basically every button in the configuration to 'RB' at the same time and still it does not respond when I press that and only wants the LT button.

Which works okay, I suppose, so appart from it being a little annoying and a little strange it's not even such a big issue. But if there is a known solution to this which I somehow haven't been able to find online I'd still like to know! I recall you get several other items later as well in the game, if I'm not mistaken you get some sort of thing to speed up your vehicle that should be set to LT then, so it might be an issue later? Okay let's just be honest, it just annoys me and isn't a real issue (yet)  Angel

It is however very cool that I can play this game again, about... 12 years later? So the dolphin developers rock anyway!

If it's just some setting I got wrong then please let me know, but if it's 'just the way it is' that's fine too Smile

Love,
Zari

Hmm. Disable the emulated wiimote and leave the gamecube controller, as that may be confusing it? I don't really see anything wrong in your settings (that would affect this). Also, you may want to try background input!

5 years late but for anyone who's having this issue I think I can help if the attached photos are the configuration being used zl and zr are triggers and L and R are bumpers so that would need to be switched and if you want the right bumper to activate the camera bind it to zl or L hope this helps and If on android instead of going to settings touch and hold pokemon snap and then tap edit game settings then configure the controls from there pretty sure gamecube controls don't effect the game you need to go to wiimotes then extensions then classic and configure from there hope this helps
