do you regret writing that android article yet, JMC
Can you separate gamecube control from wii control settings?

I mean, I genuinely think Dolphin on Android has some issues and potential. I know everyone's expectations are different. I think the information is better to be out there than not, but, the overall response has been disappointing. It's almost like users just read the title of the article without even opening it.

There are hotkeys to disconnect Wii Remotes on the desktop version. If you think there's all of these magical contributors lining up to make changes to the GUI, you're wrong. It's actually a complicated to figure out which control scheme is the desired one though. Just give the user the control setup interface for wii/wiiware/virtual console and let them decide the control scheme for themselves...it only affects wii games since most gamecube games except Donkey Kong Jungle beat etc only work with one layout/controller ...the hotkeys aren't important since android devices have a quit button...and when you're playing from the channels/desktop once you exit the game you're technically no longer in dolphin...ideally I'd like to be able to give the controller to someone very old/young without them being stuck in a game unable to exit...or for them to be able to play the wii virtual console games, which dolphin runs so well in most cases that it gives even retroarch competition, the exceptions are games where the gamecube controller overlaps with the wii classic controller and things go haywire (08-17-2018, 03:32 AM)JMC47 Wrote: I mean, I genuinely think Dolphin on Android has some issues and potential. point out the obvious, this can be done with some research and ini modification,.

(Unless you're editing the INIs that are in the Sys folder, which you shouldn't do, and which is impossible on Android anyway. Or if you're using portable.txt without moving the User folder over, which also is impossible on Android.) 08-18-2018, 12:51 PM
