Can Xaudio Fix HLE Sound Glitches?

HLE is notoriously glitchy in some games, but way faster then the "proper" DSP-LLE. Can using Xaudio2 with HLE fix DSP-HLE's problems?

If you are referring to missing instruments, volume issues, music cutting in/out or stopping completely, syncing, hanging issues then no it can't. If you want to fix these issues the only way is LLE currently and if that's too slow, you're only choice is to purchase better hardware. It could be unlikely that these issues will ever be fixed with HLE, at least not for a while.

I figured as much. Xaudio/Dsound are ways the program interacts with the sound card. If running HLE with Dsound has errors, and HLE with Xaudio doesn't, that means the errors on in the interaction from the DSP Core to the sound card, and LLE with Dsound would also be glitched. Since LLE isn't glitched, I figured Xaudio would have no effect, but I wanted to confirm it though before I made a change to the wiki. Thanks.

However it can "clean" sound with HLE

Has anyone tested rev 7605? I tested Twilight princess with that rev and HLE and it has perfect sound, no cutting out at all from what I played when on hyrule field I spent 10 minutes and sound was clean and smooth. I tried mario galaxy 2 and it seemed sound stuck for a bit longer but still cut off. I used Dsound btw.

In some areas of the game, music doesn't cut out such as Hyrule Field. The only parts in the game where audio is an issue with HLE is in some dungeons such as the last dungeon, when you get shot up in the cannon by the old guy at Lake Hylia, during cutscenes which will no longer have music after playing for a while.

These issues can not be fixed by switching to another audio backend such as Xaudio2 because they are caused by missing or incorrectly implemented Ucodes. The code for the AFC decoder is implemented improperly and bugs out after a little while. Other games have volume issues, incorrect sounding music, missing instruments which is another issue with the code for HLE audio.
