I've done a handful of searches, looked for answers in the FAQs, but I can't seem to find an answer. Sorry if I missed it. Sad

Yes we can!
I have been experimenting with the performance impact of texture packs on Android for the past two days,
and it seems like most texture packs work very well on android. The only one that I couldnt get to work is the super mario sunshine HD pack, but this might be because the textures are
too big to be loaded via prefach texture.

Anyways, to install packs all you got to do basically is to download them and put them into the load/texture folder. then you add this to your cheat code setting: HiresTextures = True
CacheHiresTextures = True
I might make a youtube video on how to install them this week.

Happy emulating!

One thing I haven't figured out yet is whether we can install Ressource Packs. Does anyone know how to install them ?

Cheers!

The Android version of Dolphin doesn't have a resource pack manager, but you can extract the zip file and install it like a regular texture pack.

I did that, and it says custom textures loaded 0.00 MB when I start a game.

What part of the resource pack are you trying to use? You should only need the folder named after the game ID and located inside the "textures" folder.

Thanks for the reply, I am aware of that.
After lots of experimenting I have come to the conclusion that the Android version of dolphin does not support certain DDS Files.
I will try to use the software provided in the forum to compile my own texture pack tomorrow.
If anyone knows more I would appreciate if they could share their findings.
The textures packs that are not working for me are the Sonic adventure 2, metroid prime, star fox adventure and super Mario Galaxy.
Super Mario sunshine painted edition, Resident Evil 4 Wii and hypertia's windwaker HD texture packs work without issue.

I think I've got it all set up right... other than setting up cheat code settings. I've almost been too scared to look into it.
