Guess this is precisely the subjective part about shows. Each one self-inserts oneself according to hir very own identity...

Well, yes, I must agree that at least it did feel more of a finale. Yet, for my point of view there were some uneasy parts:

--The random new ultimate enemy gotten out of the sleeve at very last moment

--Finn's definition of "happy ending" being remaining *one-armed* for good (WTH), and happily alone, i.e., not even rooting with Huntress in the end, let alone PB...

This is why "romantic comedy" combinations are generally not a good idea unless the point of the fun is to troll the audience.
Finn's romantic subplots circa since half the series in a "comedic" story felt more like "black humor" come out of the blue.
