Mr. Daco!!!!
I'm very sorry to disappoint most of you because I feel this may be the case. Reason I tried making this thread is because it's sad, but not the fact that series is ending, but how it's potentially ending. First of all, a brief reflection about the series. Back in its first seasons it was *really* Adventure Time with Finn and Jake, and all it implicated. It was "substantially" funny and entertaining. Since, circa... 3rd or 4th season, all things changed. Please mr Daco, I beg you to correct me in my failed guesses, because this is a post to ask for a bit of help as well... Within internet it's hard to find reliable information, often having to make one's best to avoid and filter personal takes and rumors. I had read things such as "Ward is getting tired of Adventure Time" -this already some years ago-, "New director for Adventure Time incoming seasons", "Rebecca Sugar retiring for her own project" -which is Steven Universe, a series that has managed to more or less keep the good way until now-, "New writters for episodes"... etc. Again appealing to mr Daco, I'm not sure if all these staff changes (along Shada's own personal physical growth) really affected negatively the series. Since perhaps season 4 it moved to be "Bizarre Time", and no longer with Finn and Jake. I'm sure you know what I mean. But I nevertheless kept with it, with the foolish hope someday Finn and PB could finally be together. F**K, that Pajama War episode was nothing more but a trolling! Why do I say this? Well, laugh if you want, but I was always a Finn-PB rooter, despite many users around internet certainly saying things like "come on, PB is already old boat!". After the last miniseries Elements I held a bit of hope. But latest aired episodes revealed the new and possibly definitive pair for Finn: a relatively new character named Huntress Wizard. Don't misunderstand me, Huntress doesn't look like a bad character -until now-. But for a PB rooter is certainly a bit painful. There's no more room for more unexpected twists considering the number of episodes this final season has already aired (unless they made it a 40-50 episode season again!) and the fact that in 2 more episodes Finn is turning 17 years old. I'm sure many will love the potential ending: Finn and HW being married in Candy Kingdom with none other than PB herself as priest. But..... oh, well. Just like I think I once mentioned in the anime thread, I may not be part of the average watchers... 09-27-2017, 05:33 PM

Adventure Time and Steven Universe are two of the best cartoons of all time imo
I apologize beforehand if it's considered necro-posting already, but I thought it'd be better to post here if there was already a thread rather than in the "Random" thread.
So, Adventure Time has finally ended... I must say, not exactly as bad as how I imagined in my previous long post here, but certainly bittersweet and kind of "melancholic". Also, it has elements that may quite imply it was indeed rushed. Though it could make sense that producers were already kind of tired of the series after more than a decade of drying ideas... Spoiler: No need to mention to correct me if wrong somewhere... Oh, and Steven Universe came out as a series pro love between women rights since a while ago already. Show's creator is like "that" in fact, or so I read. (Hope I didn't sound racist). Ah, the millennial world..... |
