.....but I never said that. Here is what I said:
Quote:Yes, 4.0GHz is do-able, which I said. 4.5GHz on the other hand is not good for long term use.
Quote:Not true. It's impossible to measure transitor decay from voltage without an electron microscope. Entire doctorate thesis papers have been written on this subject. Current system stability and temperatures are not the only two observable variables that make an overclock safe.
Both of which are true.

Dolphin-emulator forums have too much integrity to implement something like that. Most of us would like to keep it that way.
(Sorry neobrain, I had to)

If you want to run dolphin well and get fullspeed in most games you need a sandy bridge cpu, end of story. You'll get the same answer from every experienced user on this forum.
As for overclocking, anything above 4.0GHz will require a very significant voltage bump to remain stable and is not advised for long term use regardless of whether you can keep it cool enough.
You were assuming I didn't know the risks of overclocking, btw my friend is overclocking it without tweaking the voltages and he's @ 3.90 GHZ. This is the C3 revised version, I forgot to mention that (better TDP than the usual 965, 125W coming down from 140W which gives ALLOT more headroom for ''safer'' overclocking).
I don't really need full speeds, I just want to play some of the old games I liked. If that means lower graphics, I'm fine with that.

This product has the most reviews, and has 5 ''eggs''. By no means is this CPU even remotely bad. Yes it won't beat the i5 2500k, and it won't beat the 2600k, but these CPU's are very expensive, and their mobo's are aswell.
BTW I hope we're having A discussion, and not an arguement because if that's the case I'll be leaving.
Cheers
PS if someone could help me with the versions of Dolphin that help the phenom ii the most, that would be very helpful. I see there are like... too many versions.
